5 day accessories style challenge

I used to live in York and occasionally popped over to the McArthur Glen designer outlet. Since I moved to Leeds I haven’t managed to get over for a while. Luckily for me (especially during my spending ban) they invited me back over and gifted me two accessories…with the challenge of styling them for five days. Now, that’s the kinda challenge I like!

Reiss, Paul Smith, Escada, French Connection, LK Bennett and Kurt Geiger all had tempting items, but I finally chose some boots by The Kooples, not a brand I’ve bought from before…I only knew of the ads, but…IMHO…they don’t say a lot about the brand’s style. Soon as I went in the store, I fell in love with everything…lots of black and a bit of a punky feel. Lovely. Soon as I saw the boots, I knew they were the ones. A little pointed, but not too much and the buckles rocked my world.

My other purchase was a sky blue bag by Michael Kors, the leather is gorgeous and I love love love the colour. It’s not too bling either, which is good for Kors!

Ok, here goes with my style diary…I paired my accessories with:

Day 1: Black H&M jeans, black ASOS tee, NARS bright pink lippie and a Superdry jacket

Day 2: Black dress from Mango and jewellery from Oliver Bonas

Day 3: Dark blue Hudson jeans, H&M white tee and Oliver Bonas necklace

Day 4: Bright pink Warehouse shirt and H&M black jeans

Day 5: Black H&M dress and bright red YSL lippie

(it was REALLY windy that day!)

So, what do you think? The boots and bag are very versatile and easy to style. I love them.

Check out how Rachel styled her accessories when she did the challenge, we both seem to like pics in front of blue garage doors! (looks one and two are my vey faves).

Love your styling Ally. Great punky boots and the bag is a beautiful blue – like our skies just now! I went for pastel pink and 70s Paisley for my spring accessories, see my post a few days ago 🙂
