I popped along to Bolongaro Trevor in Leeds the other evening to check out their party and hang out with some of my fave fashion bloggers.
If you don’t already know about Bolongaro Trevor, the label was created by British designers Kait Bolongaro and Stuart Trevor, founders and former designers behind All Saints. Stuart Trevor was Head of Menswear at Reiss for seven years before he founded All Saints in 1994. Kait Bolongaro joined him in 1996. They sold All Saints in 2005 and launched Bolongaro Trevor in 2006. I was a big fan of All Saints in the 2000’s…I loved their grungy, distressed vibe. Half my wardrobe was All Saints at one point I think! I still do like the brand and often buy pieces from them (in the sale because they are now a bit overpriced), but they have toned down their attitude a bit.
I found Bolongaro Trevor a few years ago and their collections really took me back to All Saints in the good ole days. They blend British Victorian with vintage military and British street style, taking inspiration from musical sub genres such as Teddy boys, Mods, Skins, Punk, & New Wave. They remind me a bit of Vivienne Westwood…another fave of mine) and have built up a bit of cult following with British actors, models, designers and bands.
They are mainly in London, but they also have the store in Thornton’s Arcade in Leeds. Which was the venue for the party. It was great to see fellow fashion bloggers Maria (Fashion Infatuation), Laura (A Forte For Fashion), Deimantė (SunnyDei), Ellenor (Champagne Lifestyle) and Dash (Mode Lily). Maria and Deimantė were actually walking the catwalk for Bolongaro Trevor on the night…their makeup was Halloween-esque and they totally OWNED the catwalk, looking fantastic in a variety of Bolongaro Trevor pieces!
I really love that outfit. I’m a big fan of the Bolongaro Trevor parachute dress and really like the union jack blazer.
Love the snake-style parachute dress too (I bought it on the night).
Check out the Jeffrey Campbell boots on Maria. LOVE.
I also bought this silk union jack scarf. Both Ellenor and I fell in love with it.
Some of the men’s collection in particular has a real steam punk feel…
Awww….check out Maria’s beaded cape and fabulous skirt! I bought the skirt.
I had a great time giggling with Laura, getting to know Ellenor, chatting with Dash and watching Maria and Deimantė strut their stuff!

I must admit, I took full advantage of our discount on the evening and bought quite a few items. I’ll show them off soon on the blog.
If you can’t get into the Leeds or London stores, you can buy online from Bolongaro Trevor.
