It’s all about Italy!

Time for Wanderlust Wednesday… we were in Italy for a few days for business last weekend. We stayed at Tenuta De L’Annunziata which was near Lake Como, a fab hotel nestled in the hills with wonderful views.

Italy

The food was great, the spa was lovely and the rooms were fab…very high tech, it took us a bit to get used to all the electronic ways of turning lights off!  Here are a few pics…

We did manage to get over to Lake Maggiore before heading back to the UK. Such a massive lake! So much of it to explore!

Could stay here forever… #LagoMaggiore #italy #lakemaggiore

Italian Food

We flew out from Malpensa airport near Milan. I hadn’t flown from there before…I was very impressed – absolutely gorgeous airport with a street food market and great shops.

So, have you stayed around the lakes in Italy before? What are your favourite spots?

Leave your tips and comments in the comments box below…

I’ve been to Lake Como before, but I haven’t stayed for long in this area and I’d def. love some tips for future stays. Which is your favourite lake? Any good places to stay?

Italy is one of my favourite countries in the world, I’ve blogged about it before in I do love Italy and in a trip to Milan. I’ve been far more times (my first marriage was in Rome…my second honeymoon was in Italy…), I really should get my act together and blog about all the times I’ve been.

Obviously, this week my head is firmly in that country…so all my links out this week are Italy related:

Nykole shares her Top 10 Things To Do In Venice. I’ll be honest and say I haven’t been a massive fan of Venice. I’ve only been once, but I thought compared to other Italian cities the food was really poor compared and there wasn’t enough to do. Lots of people love Venice though, so I think I need to read up some more and try it again.

The Ultimate Hipster Guide To Rome written by Adam is full of top tips for people watching, eating out and getting cool souvenirs. Rome is one of my favourite cities in the world and I’ll definitely be re-reading this post before I next go.

I’ve been to Puglia before (just for the day on the way to Norcia) and didn’t know about the World Heritage Site called The Stunning Trulli of Alberobello, near Puglia. Kate posts some fab pics, I’d love to go.

Zoe posts her 5 quirky things to do in Italy, including joining an orange fight and visiting Civita di Bagnoregio. I’ve visited there before and got some stunning pics, definitely recommend it.

Have you written a blog post related to Italy? Post a link in the comments below. Post any that you’ve seen in travel blogs you like too…I love reading good tips and guides for Italy!

Aww thank you for featuring my Rome guide! I think Rome is one of those cities no one actually realizes is more interesting and cool/hip than its popular tourist attractions. It’s one of my favorite European cities!
