Eating Out Leeds

The latest street food offering at Trinity Kitchen

Trinity Kitchen

We were invited along to Trinity Kitchen in Leeds recently to see the latest street food offerings there. Here’s the low-down on the current street food carts and vans…

There was quite a wait at the Chaat Cart (super popular) and we were really hungry, so we grabbed some truffle fries from What The Truck while we waited. They were good…not amazing, like the ones we had last time we were there with home made chips…but they were tasty.

What The Truck do some lovely options….

The South Indian Street food from the Chaat Cart was really really really good. Tasted really (so many reallys) fresh and the flavours were beautiful.

Thai Khrim offered a western twist on a Thai street food classic. Each ice cream is handcrafted on a cold plate. The flavours are then infused together with a cream base. It looked pretty busy and we didn’t think we’d get chance to try one, but we did….woop! Loved watching the guy do the ice cream curls….and they tasted like HEAVEN.

We also tried some of the ‘Ginity’ gin that Trinity Kitchen had created to celebrate the largest gin and vodka festival which took place in Leeds recently. Paired with Fever Tree tonic (the BEST tonic), it’s really lovely…made with juniper, coriander seeds, angelica, root and cardamom. I’m definitely going to go down to Latitude to buy a big bottle! All proceeds are donated to charity….so I’m helping others by drinking…………. ha.

If you’ve never been to Trinity Kitchen or just haven’t been for a while, definitely go down and grab a bite. I’d recommend starting at the Chaat Cart and grabbing an ice cream too.

You can also find these guys at Trinity Kitchen for the next couple of weeks:

Jenny’s Jerk Chicken – dishing out traditional Caribbean jerk cuisine including curried goat, rice and peas, jerk chicken and veggie patties.

BangWok – spicy dishes served fresh from the wok.
