We popped along to the opening of Leeds Dock last night, which is a fixture at Clarence Dock. I don’t often get out to Clarence Dock because, well, I have no real reason to. I don’t live in one of the flats and the Royal Armories aren’t really my thing. So it was nice to have a reason to go and see how the area is doing. We caught the water taxi from Granary Wharf over to Leeds Dock. If you do want to do this (I’d highly recommend it, I love seeing Leeds from the water!), then get yourself outside Fazenda and walk around the corner of Fazenda (away from LivinItay)…the other side to the bridge – the water taxi can be a bit hard to find!
The two water taxis were brought over from the Netherlands and are driven (steered?) by two lovely ‘Captains’…
Leeds Dock is opposite Pizza Express at Clarence Dock and has a big bar, table seating (and hay bales), DJs playing and other entertainment (they have a cinema some nights). Check out the Leeds Dock Events page for the full list of events they have on – I really fancy the Elf night in December! Love that film and it all sounds fantastically Christmassy!
I was really pleased to find that Afsaneh Kaviani’s Persian Kitchen was there on launch night. Afsaneh is a fantastic cook (she was a finalist on Masterchef) and if you haven’t already been to her Supper Club then you need to rectify that immediately!
Mr Brown’s Soul Kitchen was also there, I didn’t get to try the food on this occasion, but the jerk chicken looked great.
Leeds Dock is nice relaxed space and I’d def. recommend check their future events out and popping down. I’m definitely going to be back, hopefully to the Elf screening.
