So, Debenhams at Broadway Bradford has a personal shopping service…and it’s free! You just need to make an appointment and some lovely ladies will attend to your every style need. How good does that sound?
The 48hr Fashion Fix at Broadway Bradford
Before I start telling you about all of that though, I did want to tell you that I’m going to be at The Broadway Bradford on Saturday as part of The 48hr Fashion Fix (runs Sat 28th / Sun 29th October).
You can win a luxury handbag (this game totally requires nerves of steel and a steady hand. Hook a handbag from the pyramid and you could either win the handbag or its contents!) or some gorgeous footwear (all you need to do is choose a box from the pyramid and if the shoe inside fits, you can count yourself luckier than Cinderella, because the shoes are yours to keep!) on the day. There’s lots more prizes too including fashion, perfume, and gift vouchers. Well worth coming down!
I’ve personally picked out my favourite items from stores like Ann Summers (yes, you read that right! Get your sexy on!), Marks & Spencers, River Island, Accessorise and more. You’ll see the items I’ve picked with oversized hangers and my face on (what more could you want?!). Come down on Saturday and join in the fun.
Personal Shopping at Debenhams
So…on to the personal shopping experience at Debenhams! Kelly and Seram at Debenhams spent some time getting to know my style and they picked out some items that I might like. We also had a good look around the store to see if there was anything I’d like to try too.
Scroll down for some of the items that particularly caught my attention and a little peek at my next outfit posts.
As always, my attention was taken a little by the gorgeous winter coats. This wine coloured wool wrap coat from Phase Eight was beautiful.
I wasn’t in the mood for trousers, but these ones in Dorothy Perkins did look lovely. Adored the little details on them.
I was looking for some good jumpers. It’s Autumn and I’m feeling the cold! Loved this one from Debenhams Collection. Just the right fit…snuggly, but smart.
It also came in grey and bright red…
One of my fave designers in Debenhams is Savannah Miller (Sienna Miller’s sister). I used to have some items from their TwentyEightTwelve range that I loved. Again, I wasn’t there for skinny jeans…but I really loved the detail on the side seams of these beauties…
….and these boots! Oh wow…I fell in love at first sight. I’d seen some on the Debenhams website from Ravel that were similar. These babies were from Dune and they were always going to be coming home with me!
Lots of military style fashion around in-store. It’s a fave look of mine…love the button detailing in particular on a lot of the pieces.
…and so many beautiful jumpers.
Time to try everything on! In we went into the very spacious dressing rooms. Prosecco and water flowing!
They’d already picked quite a few Kurt Geiger heels for me….they were getting to know me well!
I’d had my eye on these Kurt Geiger over-the-knee boots…
Trying on was a lovely experience. Plenty of room and the wall mirrors fold inwards, so you can look at all angles.
This was that Debenhams Collection jumper, my own jeans (Paige Denim Edgemonts) and the black Kurt Geiger heels. Great everyday outfit.
I fell in love with this jumper from Red Herring….
…and this win coloured dress/jumper combo was gorgeous.
What did I take home with me? The Dune boots and Kurt Geiger over-the-knee boots for sure! (you’ll see them in the next outfit posts)
I also took the black Debenhams Collection jumper (in both black and grey), that gorgeous Red Herring jumper…and two items that you haven’t seen here – a dress…and the cardi of my dreams from Savannah Miller that you’ll see both of these featured next. Look out for them, they are most definitely worth it.
Thank you so much to my gorgeous personal shoppers, Kelly and Seram. They learnt quickly what I liked…but they were also confident enough to challenge me a little and take me out of my usual comfort zone. I did buy a couple of items that I would have never have spotted on my own.
I was very impressed with the whole service. It’s absolutely perfect for if you want to update your Autumn / Winter wardrobe all at once…and get some help from the professionals, all for free?! I think that’s pretty amazing. Try it out for yourself by giving the Debenhams store at Broadway Bradford a call to book an appointment.
* Please note that I was given a budget to spend, as a thank you for writing an honest look at my time with the Debenhams team and for taking part in The 48hr Fashion Fix. As always, my opinions are my own. I absolutely loved the experience and I’m really looking forward to Saturday! See you there!
