RMK Cleansing Balm – My favourite cleanser

I’ve been meaning to write a blog post about RMK Cleansing Balm for a while now… I’ve been using it for a few months and it’s by far my favourite cleanser.

Birchbox gave me a sample (which actually lasted ages!) in one of their beauty boxes and I immediately fell in love with the it. It smelt….well, old fashioned! The rose scent isn’t what I’d usually go for, but maybe I immediately liked it because it smelt like something that would have been in my Nana’s beauty cabinet.

RMK isn’t a well known brand in the UK, it’s actually a Japanese brand. If you go to their website (www.rmkrmk.com), you’ll find it’s all in Japanese. RMK was started by a makeup artist and it’s now a popular brand with other makeup artists in Japan.

RMK Cleansing Balm is a texture transforming cleanser (which is a fancy way of saying it turns from solid into liquid in your hands.

Birchbox say:

This solid rose balm from RMK evolves into a silky liquid cleanser when applied to your face, releasing the active ingredients contained within the structure. All make-up is removed in one application, leaving skin refreshed, nourished and glowing.

RMK Cleansing Balm contains Grape Seed Oil, Jojoba & Avocado Oil which are packed full of minerals and nutrients.

Applying RMK Cleansing Balm

Start with a dry face and apply to your whole face with your fingers. I usually leave it for a minute or so, then with wet hands, I gently massage into my face in a circular motion. I then use a face cloth to remove it from my skin with warm water.

RMK Cleansing Balm Close Up

I pair the RMK Cleansing Balm with Dr. Hauschka’s Clarifying Toner. I mist over my face and gently massage into my skin in circular motions.

Afterwards my skin feels really soft!

You can buy it for around £29 on quite a few websites, including Birchbox.
