Should I get my fringe back?

I’ve been growing my fringe out for a few months now. Not after any massive decision to commit to no fringe I must say, I just fancied a change. I thought I’d see how I felt.

For years, I’ve had a full fringe….my husband likes it a lot and I always have too. The last time I attempted to grow it out was before my wedding…I felt like I shouldn’t have a fringe for my wedding day, it wasn’t ‘traditional’. Then realised that I’m not a very traditional type of gal, so had it put back in.

My problem is that I’m just really not sure at the moment if I prefer my look with or without a fringe. I veer to the extremes of both within minutes of each other…”no, I look younger with a fringe!” to “my fringe was super annoying and I like the change”

Fringes ARE a hassle. They are a pain in the arse. Mine parts awkwardly and I have to style it carefully……but I do love it.

So, let’s compare:

With Fringe

I’ve mostly stuck to a full fringe previously. I don’t handle anything that comes below the top of my eyes well.
Here’s me with Bee and Lizzy when my bob was a bit shorter…

I think I liked it a lot when it was a short bob with a full blunt fringe.

Having a fringe can work if I want it curly too:

…and I should also remember that I can sweep the fringe to the side if I want to…

Lovely day seeing this one... #friends #blowingbubbles #lovethisgirl #pradasunglasses

…and even when it’s curly…

It can be very versatile. I don’t always have to have it down, but when I do have it down I love it.

Without Fringe

When I get it right without my fringe, I do REALLY like it. This is a recent pic:

This one (also recent) is where it’s behaving perfectly…

However, it’s the same with my fringe. Sometimes it behaves, sometimes it doesn’t.

Here’s without fringe and curly….

..and over to the side:

So, what do you guys think?

I think I *might* have talked myself into keeping no fringe… I’m thinking maybe it’s the overall length I’m getting annoyed with and I just need a centimetre or two off…..

…OR, do I want my full fringe back and a much shorter bob? I loved that… HELP!

Do I keep my fringe?

What do you think?

I say, without. Not that you don’t look super lovely with one, just, I think you look fresh faced without. 🙂

You look great either way, but I love your current hair therefore I’d say without 🙂 xx

Thanks Lauren! The consensus does seem to be without at the moment, it’s been really helpful getting all the feedback on Twitter and on here 😀 xx

Hmmm this is a hard one… I like both!! I think you should either try a blunt fringe above eyebrow or get more visible shorter bangs cut it in, like you have now but a bit shorter and more pronounced. Although I am being completely honest when I say that you just seem to suit it all the ways!

I love your fringe but I’m team fringe free I think. Your amazing power lob looks so good every time I see you.

The fringe is wonderful but I agree with the other comments, you look really fresh faced without! I personally love a fringe in winter because it hides the redness I always get on my forehead from the frosty weather, but the rest of the year I like to keep hair out of my face as much as possible. It really depends on the texture of your hair as to how it will sit, but if it’s full and low like yours it really pulls the whole look together.

I really like the photo of you in “the squad” (hey where’s my invite 😉 ) you suit it both ways, but you do look tremendous in that photo!
