Brass Agency Million Mile Challenge

Before I went on holiday, the agency I work for re-branded. Swamp and Brahm became Brass.

To celebrate the launch of the new agency, we had a competition called the Brass Million Mile Challenge. To aim was to get the new branding to travel a million miles around the globe.

I roped in quite a few of my very generous and helpful friends, contributing over 60 photos from places such as Hollywood, Amsterdam, Swansea, New York, Edinburgh, New Zealand, Arizona, Australia, Tbilisi, Delaware, Buenos Aries and many more places. Big big thanks to everyone that helped, I was blown away by the efforts from you all.

We didn’t win (I was really hoping to win one of my friends an iPad), but I do admit that the winner was much deserved.

The photos from my friends are all in this Flickr set - thanks guys!

Swamp & Brahm become Brass Agency

It’s been an exciting few weeks at the agency, as Swamp and Brahm have become one agency: Brass

I’m one of the founders of Swamp - we had all been working together in digital since 1995 onwards and we set up Swamp in 2002. It’s been a rollercoaster ride since then, including Brahm Agency buying us in 2006. Brahm has been around for 27 years as an integrated agency and was the perfect fit for a marriage.

Since then, we have been operating as one agency…under the two brands. We’ve  now finally come together under one new brand - Brass Agency - we are an integrated agency for a digital world.

We’ve been in the office all weekend painting and transforming it ready for the launch today - great work from everyone involved!

Keywords & Visibility Basics Workshop at Swamp / Brahm
This was the fourth workshop that I have done with people from all over the agency, from account handlers, to designers.
I talk about why keywords are important and where we use them (search marketing, online insight etc.). I then show everyone how to take their keywords (for a dummy website) and create SEO and PPC campaigns.

Had a lovely day yesterday judging the Sh! Awards. Judges were from companies like Orange and all the top agencies in Leeds and beyond, including Swamp / Brahm (of course), Made By Pi, McCann Manchester and Numiko.

There was some terrific work being shown. The students will have to wait until next thursday to go to the awards do at the amazing Temple Works in Leeds to see if they have won the coveted placement at Swamp / Brahm.
