It’s been a while since I’ve done a Wanderlust Wednesday…! I took a bit of a breather while we concentrated on the house move…but I’m feeling a bit more focussed on travel again now we’ve booked our next trip!
Iceland here we come!
Can’t wait, we had a great (very cheap) trip there early last year and we’re looking forward to going back to explore some more.
Got a great Iceland hotel recommendation? please do let me know! I’m researching at the moment (flights are booked, but hotels are not yet). I’d like to stay somewhere a bit more rural to have some good scenery and a chance of seeing the Lights and then a few days in Reykjavik.
I’m not too sure where else we’ll be going this year…as usual I’ve been getting lots of inspiration from blogs I follow…
5 Travel Blog Posts I’m Loving
I’ve been dying to visit Paris again (hint hint hubby!), I last went with my friend Cat and we had a fab time visiting all the touristy sites and going to Moulan Rouge! I’d like to go again (with a bit more money this time!) and explore the place a bit more. I love the look of the Mandarin Oriental…
…and still in France, I’ve never been to Marseille and this post has made me want to go! It seems the city with a rep for being a seedy port has been reinventing itself with hip hotels and cool bars. It’s France’s oldest city so I’d love to have a little wander around.
Croatia has been on my list for a while now. Lots of friends have been and come back with tales of fab scenery, lovely people and good food.
Little Green Shed: Travel Croatia and it’s Coastline led me to the Croatian Tourist Board’s Facebook Page and their app which gives you a little quiz before recommending the best place in Croatia for you. Pretty handy.
You are … Culture Vulture
You are a passionate art, culture and history lover. Your family and friends look to you for information, because when you’re on vacation you work through a list of sights, monuments, and museums until you know everything about the local culture.
Your ideal Croatian holiday destination is Dubrovnik and Zagreb…
Pretty accurate I’d say. It did go on to tell me more about these places too.
I haven’t been to Copenhagen before. It’s never called to me really…but I do like the look of the Torvehallerne Food Market. That’s the way to get me there, food.
(the pancakes in Day 2 of her Copenhagen Travel Diary look amazing too)
5) The UK
It doesn’t have to all be about abroad though… Fizzy Peaches (I’m newly following her blog and I love it) has written a lovely post with ideas for a staycation in the UK. Some nice ideas in there.
I hope that gives you a little bit of wanderlust on this grey Wednesday. Have you got any holidays planned?
